NOTD: Zoya Mimi

WOW. This is probably my new favorite color in my collection... it is AMAZING!! it consists of little flakes of iridescent purple suspended in a dark purple base. Of course, pictures show purples like this to be much more blue than they are, so i tried to capture the non-blue-ness of this polish in these pictures even though they still are slightly blue...
The formula is awesome, up to the usual Zoya par and very easy to apply. Zoya formulas and brushes make their application a generally pleasant experience =)

NOTD: Brucci Bert's Blue

Very pretty metallic baby blue polish with a slight white frosty duochrome. The formula is very sheer, I think this was 4-5 coats.

NOTD: Hot Topic Iridescent Green

This is a dark green-teal with very tiny flecks of dark green in a green base. It's very iridescent and pretty, but it's also pretty thick in terms of formula; it turns your fingers green when you try to take it off! this was 2 coats.

Just as a side note, in order to really see the detail of each polish (except maybe creme colors because they have no detail) click on the pictures to enlarge them and zoom in! Especially with my latest posts because they're taken with a macro lens, which captures each polish in complete detail, but you can't really see it until they're blown up.

NOTD: Wet n' Wild Ocean Grotto

This is another amazing new polish from Wet n' Wild. It's the same type as the previous post (Waves of Enchantment) but a very bright, lime green! Again, the formula was very easy and manageable, this was 3 coats.

NOTD: Wet n' Wild Waves of Enchantment

This polish is a gorgeous, iridescent glass fleck with flecks of gold and coral-pink suspended in a pink base. I don't think that the picture below truly captures how iridescent it is, but it is actually much more shiny and eye catching in real life. The application and formula is very easy as well, this was 3 coats, and they went on very smoothly.

This is a closeup of the polish in the bottle; I think it's a much better color representation.

NOTD: Color Club Coo-Coo Kachoo

This polish is basically the standard neon orange that about every brand has, but I like the formula on this one much better than any other's I've tried. This was 2 coats.

NOTD: LA Splash Glitz & Berry

This is a new brand to me that I found at my local harmon, and so far I really like it! They come in small square bottles, so they look like nail art bottles, but the brush is the same as any regular nail polish brush. This color contains tons of red, silver and gold glitter suspended in a red wine jelly base. I really like it colorwise, and the formula was very good! I think this was 3 coats.

NOTD: Sinful Colors Ciao Bella

Hey Everyone!
I'm so sorry I havent posted in so long, I dont really know how to explain why i havent, i just.. fell out of the loop i guess?
haha well, anyway two things have happened that are significant to this blog since then:
1. I got a macro lens, which I am in love with and
2. I made my nails square, something I never thought I'd do but I actually really like how they look now!

So this polish is Sinful Colors Ciao Bella. It's a really pretty dark blue but I find it unique from other generic dark blues because it has little sparkles in it whereas others are just plain metallics. The type of sparkles these are won't have any effect on smoothness though, they're just little foil flecks. The formula is very good, I had no trouble with it and I think this is about 2-3 coats.

NOTD: Hot Topic Chunky Green Glitter

Large and small pieces of green glitter in a dark green jelly base. I want to love this polish, but there's something about it, I think it's the formula/ the brush that i just don't like.. it was a bit messy because Hot topic has really bad brushes and it took 4 coats to get it this opaque.

NOTD: China Glaze Jitterbug

Awesome shimmery dark grey polish! It's a dark grey base with a light silver sheen of glass flecks. Great formula, this was 2 coats, and yeah, it's a great color!

NOTD: Color Club Wild and Willing

WHAT an awesome nail polish! I mean seriously, look how amazing it is!! It's a sort of light copper foil finish that reflects yellow, pink, and green depending on how you look at it. The formula is perfection, opaque in 2 coats, and I recommend wearing it without a topcoat.

NOTD: Sally Hansen Purple Pizzazz

I'm kind of disappointed with this color... It looks so amazing in the bottle and then you put it on and it's just a let down. In the bottle it looks like there's going to be so much pretty glitter, but on, barely any glitter is visible, plus it's in a completely see-through, jelly base. In person, the jelly base is not as see-through as it is in the picture with flash, but that's all it shows up as, a dark purple jelly.
The formula is pretty good, as are all of the Sally Hansen formulas, it was "opaque" in 4 coats, that is, somewhat not see through anymore. I guess I just wish the glitter would actually show up on nails.

NOTD: Zoya Crystal

I must say, Zoya has some of the BEST polishes I have ever seen, by far. This one's a gorgeous medium-light blue shimmer with tiny, sparkly flecks of gold all throughout it, that give it this unique sheen, that I think is best seen in the 3rd picture. Of course, the formula is amazing, this was 2 coats and completely opaque, no problems with application.

NOTD: China Glaze Metallic Muse

Another polish in China Glaze's Khrome collection. Gorgeous pale blue chrome, with an amazing formula, opaque in one coat! Definitely one of my top polishes!
I also added a coat of China Glaze Crushed Candy over it and I thought the result was pretty cool, since they're both around the same shade of color, but completely different finishes. The chrome really stuck out and lit up through the cracks.

NOTD: Sinful Colors San Francisco

Standard dark, shimmery green, a perfect Christmas green. The formula was very good, opaque in 3 coats and very smooth. Love it!

NOTD: Zoya Tangy

Awesome shimmery lime green! This is such a great color for summer and spring, so bright and happy! It also has this subtle peach-y duochrome that can, in the pictures below, be seen on the side of the bottle facing down, especially in the third picture. The formula is great of course, simply because it's Zoya and all of their formulas are great. It is a bit sheer though, this was 3-4 coats.

NOTD: Nina Orange Flame

Hey everyone,
I'm so sorry I haven't been posting even though I said I would... I have 2 posts for tonight though! This one is Nina Orange Flame, which is a typical neon orange. Of course, my camera doesn't capture the color properly, but I'm sure you've all seen some sort of neon orange at some point in your lives, so you know what it looks like. Good formula, a bit sheer, this was 4 coats.
I also got some of the China Glaze crackles and I LOVE them! Over Orange Flame, I put Cracked Concrete crackle and I really liked how it turned out, it looks like molten lava!!

Sorry for not posting!

Hey everyone,
I guess I should have said something earlier, before I disappeared for a few days, but I was on college visits and didn't get a chance to do my nails while I was away! Sorry about that, but I'll be back posting tomorrow!

NOTD: Sally Hansen Hot Magenta

Another standard shimmery hot pink. Usually I don't really like these colors, but Sally Hansen polishes always have very good formulas, so I really like their version. The formula is soo smooth and is opaque in 2 coats, very easy to apply too.

NOTD: Color Club Worth the Risque

Light silver holographic. However, I've said it before and I'll say it again, Color Club holos have a VERY subtle, almost not noticeable holographic effect. Nevertheless, any color with holographic glitter will look good even if the effect is barely there. The formula is very good (I think this is just a general trait of holos) and goes on nice and clean.

NOTD: Sinful Colors Nail Junkie

Large, multicolored glitter in a teal jelly base. Reflects yellow, orange, blue and green. The formula is kind of annoying because it is thick and gooey but VERY sheer, so this was about 6 coats and it's still not opaque. This is also a HUGE layer of paint, comes 1mm up off the nail, with all the topcoat required to get it smooth. It's a cool color, but it's not really worth it in my opinion.
